Anyone who rides dressage knows that regular help is need to assess riding strengths and
weaknesses, set both short and long-term goals and assign appropriate homework to achieve those
goals. If you have had limited access to quality instruction, you have probably discovered that
working alone all of the time is frustrating and progress is slow to non-existent. There is a solution!
No matter where you are located, you can increase your understanding, train your eye, improve your
skills and your confidence through the use of video lessons.

Video lessons can help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and thus help you begin a
personal program designed to improve your horse, your riding, and the relationship between you and
your horse when on site lessons are not available or convenient.

Video lessons also enable you to watch yourself and your horse again and again, and compare what
you see to what you feel while riding. Training your 'eye' gives you a visual picture and improves your
understanding of what you're trying to achieve while schooling your horse. Your library of video
lessons will provide a visual journal that will enable you to track your achievements and monitor your
progress over time.

Video lessons offer individual, private help for you and your horse. You will receive your original
video footage back with verbal commentary of the entire ride. You will also receive an analysis of your
seat and position, and of your horse's gaits and movements, and recommendations for improvement.
You will learn to develop your eye and increase your ability to think and analyze. You will improve
your ability to plan your ride, think clearly during your ride, and analyze the ride afterward to
determine what was right, what was wrong, what you want to keep, and what you want to change.

You will also receive comments about the overall impression of your riding along with suggested
homework including appropriate exercises to practice to create progress in your riding and training.

How to get your personal video lesson:
Create a 35-45 minute videotape of a typical training session (click here for video taping tips). You
may use a VHS tape or a DVD. Make an extra copy for yourself and mail one to me.

Send a check for $85 USD made out to Deanna Landwehr along with the video footage (if this is your
first video lesson with me please also include an information form) to:
