The Trainer

Deanna Landwehr has trained, ridden and competed in numerous
equestrian disciplines, but her true passion is for dressage.
Deanna has been training, instructing and competing in the sport
of dressage since 1986. She has competed successfully at all
levels and has earned numerous high percentage and high point
awards as well as regional and national level awards. She earned
her USDF Gold Medal in 2000 by competing successfully at Grand
Prix on a horse which she trained from breaking in at 3 years of
age. After honing her skills for the past 20 years, she currently
trains and competes at the FEI level. She is always kept busy
coaching and instructing, traveling for clinics, riding and
operating the farm.
Deanna is experienced with all aspects of basic training, training the
young or green horse, developing the dressage horse thru all medium
level movements and finishing the FEI horse to his/her maximum
potential always keeping in mind the Classical Training Scale. All
training is done on the premise that the rider's independent seat is the
most important element needed to allow the horse to work in self
carriage and relaxation. She is experienced and willing to work with
all breeds of horses and all levels of riders. She also uses dressage
basics in the development of working western horses.
